General Education about the Heart,part 2.

On today's episode, we are going to talk about HEARTBEAT.

Heartbeat is a process of the heart which involves the rhythmic pulsating of the heart. It is directly under the control of the Brain. It is mostly measured by an instrument called the Stethoscope.

Heartbeat has two stages. These are :

¡.The Systolic stage; this is when the chambers of the heart (Auricles and ventricles) contract to pump blood to all parts of the body.

¡¡.The Diastolic Stage; this is also called the Resting Stage, and it is when all the chambers of the heart are relaxed.

For one complete heartbeat, there is one systole and one diastole which has a duration of 0.8 seconds. Averagely, the heart beats 72-75 times in every 60 seconds (every 1 minute).
