A 21-year old level 300- Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos(UNILAG);simply identified as Chidinma has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for the alleged murder of Nigerian billionaire and CEO of Super TV,Usifo Ataga,in the Lekki area of the state.
The state Commissioner of Police,Hakeem Odumodu said,Chidima confessed to committing the crime. She was paraded at the Police Command headquarters in Ikeja on Thursday,June 24th 2021.
Late Usifo Ataga,was reported missing on Sunday,June 13 by his relatives after he didn't return to his home in Banana Island and didn't report to his Office at Victoria Island.His lifeless body was eventually found on Friday morning,June 18,in a flat in Lekki phase 1,with multiple stab wounds.
Chidinma was picked up by the Police at her parent's home in Alagomeji,Lagos.
According to Chidinma,a friend introduced late Usifo to her 4 months ago & on the day of the incident,she told her parents she was going for a job,but went to meet the late Usifo so they could have some fun. She told newsmen that, while in the apartment, they were taking a hard drug called "loud and SK" and then,an argument with regards to sex evolved between them butvshe refused to offer the Late Usifo sex.
She said, she stabbed him twice before she fled the apartment.
She again said that,she withdrew N380,000 from his account with the intention of using it to psy her school fees.
