Throwback Friday:11yrs ago,Luis Suarez’s handball blocked Ghana from becoming the only African country to enter WORLD CUL semifinals

On July 2nd 2010,barely 11 years ago in South Africa during the last quarter-finals for the WORLD CUP TOURNAMENT,Ghana🇬🇭 was on the verge of getting a chance into the Semi-finals if they had utilized their opportunity to defeat Uruguay 🇺🇾 but unfortunately in the 120th minute, Luis Suarez’s blatant handball

 

prevented Ghana from becoming the first African Country to ever qualify into the semifinal stage,though Louis Suarez was shown a ‘red card’ and was sent off the pitch

 

whiles Ghana🇬🇭 was also awarded a penalty of which unfortunately the ball hit the ‘bar’

and Ghana 🇬🇭 could not take the win to make history,as Uruguay 🇺🇾 defeated Ghana 🇬🇭 in the penalty shootouts

And after the match Luis Suarez said, “I made the best save of the tournament”
