Special Anti-Robbery Task Force in the Eastern Region Arrests 21 Suspects for the Possession of Weapons

The Special Anti-Robbery Task Force team at Donkorkrom in the Eastern Region, in a joint operation with personnel from the Donkorkrom Division and District, have arrested 21 herdsmen for possessing firearms and other offensive weapons without lawful authority.

Dated 30 AUGUST, 2021, it says;

SPECIAL ANTI-ROBBERY TASK FORCE IN THE EASTERN REGION ARRESTS 21 SUSPECTS FOR THE POSSESSION OF WEAPONS

1. The Special Anti-Robbery Task Force team at Donkorkrom in the Eastern Region, in a joint operation with personnel from the Donkorkrom Division and District, have arrested 21 herdsmen for possessing firearms and other offensive weapons without lawful authority.

2. The suspects, aged between 20 and 51, were arrested at Donkorkrom on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
And this is the GANG LEADER;


3. A search conducted on the 21 suspects led to the retrieval of 17 machetes, one foreign pistol, three locally manufactured pistols, four single-barrel shotguns, two daggers, 66 live AAA and 12 BB cartridges, eleven 410 cartridges, ten 7.65mm ammunition and 19 mobile phones.









4. All suspects are currently in Police custody awaiting trial.

5. The Police Administration is assuring the public of strategic interventions to halt the activities of criminals.
