Rampant “Daylight Robbery in Ghana 🇬🇭 “

Gone are the days when armed robbers had to strategize effective ways of robbing people in our country, Ghana. In that sense, they sorted to executing their illegal plans during periods whereby it would be hard for them to get caught. So they used to attack people during late nights, dawns, at bushy areas and at places with poor light systems.

But today, the it’s quite different since armed robbers  nowadays attack, humiliate, rob people of their belongings and even kill people during ‘the day’. Armed robbers at used to run ‘helter skelter’ when they hear of POLICE, but of late, they even get the gust to engage in bullet exchange with the Police Service personnel.

This daylight robbery is gradually becoming a nationwide ‘pain in the nerve’ as Ashanti region, Alabar- Kumasi also recorded a daylight robbery attack, leaving one person dead.

This unfortunate situation has travelled and now reached Accra, Ghana’s capital city.

Living in Accra nowadays , Ghana’s capital town, is now a state of fear and panic.

This is as a result of the frequent and rampant armed robbery attacks on the inhabitants, causing an increase in insecurity among citizens.

Not long ago, was when we heard of a bullion van robbery, which happened on a sunny afternoon and caused the police personnel in-charge of its delivery, to lose his precious life and an eyewitness too to also lost her life. That is not all, a week ago, close to West Hills Mall around Achimota thereabout, there was another “daylight robbery”. Again, that same week at Apenkwa, there was another “daylight robbery” of which an amount of twenty-nine thousand Ghana cedis (29,000.00) were looted and a wayside gentleman got shot as well, but did not lose his life.

Just, three days ago, another daylight robbery has hit the streets of Accra once again, and this time around they armed robbers actually spied a thirty-two year old lady (32years old) from the bank she withdrew the money to a residential road where there were not many people. The armed robbers who were four in number, did the operation on two motorcycles and went away with a currently unknown amount of money, but it’s perceived to be a colossal amount of money since it was in two traveling bags.

In an attempt to scare off the present people, two robbers with guns shot into the ground and some bullets into the sky.
