At TenaHealth Initiative, we believe that young people deserve accurate, judgment-free information about their bodies and health. Yet for many teens and young adults, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) education is shaped by myths, cultural silence, and misinformation—often passed down unchecked.
That belief is what inspired TenaMag, our monthly e-magazine designed to educate, challenge myths, and spark healthy conversations among youth.
We are excited to officially release TenaMag – Module 1, our very first edition.
What Is TenaMag?
TenaMag is more than an e-magazine. It is a learning companion that uses real-life, Ghanaian-centered stories to explain complex SRH topics in a way that is relatable, respectful, and easy to understand.
Each edition aligns with a monthly SRH module and is structured to:
- Educate
- Encourage reflection
- Promote healthy decision-making
- Create safe spaces for discussion
What Module 1 Focuses On
• Common SRH Myths Among Youth
In this first edition, we tackle one of the biggest barriers to youth health: myths.
Inside TenaMag – Module 1, you’ll find:
- Real-life stories showing how SRH myths affect young people
- Cultural beliefs compared with medical truth
- The role of social media misinformation
- Why these myths persist—and how to unlearn them
Every story is written with care, ensuring it speaks to both males and females, without judgment or shame.
Why This Matters
Many young people carry fear, confusion, or guilt simply because they were never given the right information. Some suffer in silence. Others make decisions based on myths that affect their health, relationships, and future.
With TenaMag, we are saying clearly:
Education should empower, not scare.
